Dentist hands check woman's teeth
Welcome to the Preston Dentists website, a group of private dentists conducting a variety of treatments for the wider Lancashire communities.

Our combined dentistry experience spans across multiple decades, together we have helped thousands of patients in our neighbourhood at our private dental practice.

So if you were looking for a Dentist in Preston, look no further. You're in the right place!

Keeping your teeth healthy and maintaining that beautiful smile every year is exactly what we do at clinic.

We are an oral care and dentistry business and we take pride in making sure everything about your teeth and gums are both looking great and extremely healthy.

This type of medicine is a skill that we have perfected over numerous years of experience.

Our specialisms include a range of dental services:
  • General Dentistry: routine dental work
  • Orthodontics: specialism aiming to correct teeth alignment issues
  • Periodontics: expertise in structures surrounding the teeth, including your gums
  • Endodontics: advanced knowledge of dental pulp treatments, for example root canal disinfection
  • Oral Surgery: advanced knowledge and expertise of facial muscle structures, the jaw and surrounding areas
  • Prosthodontics: the area of dental prosthetics and the field of replacing missing teeth or tissues

Our Promise to you:
  1. We select fine details and thoroughness over a rushed job every time.
  2. We are convinced that this is the best way to not only give our customers in Preston the best oral care but also to leave an impact with them that will last.
  3. We perform our services to the absolute highest standard

Sometimes we tend to take a pain-free set of teeth and healthy gums for granted and look at good oral care as a bit of a chore.

As a result, our teeth and gums suffer and we have to pay a local dental surgery a visit.

But the last thing you would want after a hard day at work to come home with sharp tooth pain, swollen cheeks or bleeding gums.

This is where a dentist in Preston comes in!

Leave your teeth and gums in the experienced and careful hands of our board-certified dental surgeons and nurse colleagues who will handle your health in the most professional and warmest way possible.

We appreciate that fear of pain is a common theme among our nervous patients but rest assured that with regular check-ups and a proper oral care routine, which we are happy to advise you on, you won’t have anything to be afraid of.

All you have to do is to call us to enquire about the many dental procedures we do:
  • Bonding

  • Bridges and implants
  • Crowns and caps
  • Extractions
  • Dentures
  • Fillings and repairs
  • Root canals
  • Dental sealants
  • Teeth whitening
  • Wisdom tooth removal
  • Veneers

Even if you don’t have any pain at the moment, we would strongly advise a check in with us at least every 6 months to remove plaque or to prevent any tooth decay to deteriorate and progress into a situation where a somewhat more painful and more expensive procedure would need to be applied.

Should you need a little bit more information as to what type of dental procedures we can do at our Preston private dental practice, have a look at the below paragraphs:

Bonding
This medical exercise is the process of tooth repair or gap reduction in between teeth. The dental care practitioner mixes composite resin into a paste which is then further refined and tinted until the material is close enough in shade to the tooth or teeth on which this is to be applied.

This paste is then "dried" and hardened in layers on the tooth's surface with an ultraviolet light or a laser. The tinted paste is bonded with the natural tooth, hence the name of the procedure.

Lastly, the applied area is shaped and polished to give the area a natural and smooth look and feel.

Braces
The medical device that corrects teeth alignment and bite issues is called braces. If you ever had braces you may recall that it is often uncomfortable, especially at the beginning of the process, because a slow but steady pressure is applied on your teeth to make them move into a more correct position.

This procedure is carried out by a dental specialist or orthodontist at one of our Preston dental clinics.

Bridges and dental implants
Whether it is an unfortunate accident or it is old age but it can happen that your natural tooth falls out or gets damaged beyond a dentist’s ability to save or repair it.

This is when bridges or implants can restore the missing teeth by using neighbouring ones as anchors to hold them in place.

Crowns and caps
These special covers are put over teeth that are severely discoloured, decayed or damaged. Due to the customisation element of this procedure, one visit is not enough to fully complete the process.

A crown can consist of different materials, which alas plays a big factor in its manufacturing and implementation cost, ranging from "simpler" porcelain to porcelain bonded to metal.

Our supply partners, however, deliver these materials to the highest standard requirements we set out for them so that you get the best care and durable crowns on your teeth.

Extractions
The bogeyman of all people needing to go to the dentist clinic. In the case of a severely decayed tooth, it is often removed and extracted. In some other cases, certain teeth can be pulled for orthodontic purposes.

Rest assured, even our most nervous patients left our clinic with a sigh of relief and a lot less pain and shock than they had anticipated.

Dentures
This is a type of prosthetic that replaces lost teeth. There are dentures that help with partial restoration and there's a full denture set which is often called "false teeth".

Fillings and repairs
When the level of decay hits a certain level, the dentist needs to intervene and the procedure often results in dental fillings using restorative materials to help the tooth return to its former glory.

This kind of treatment can be easily prevented with appropriate oral care involving proper brushing and flossing.

Root canals
In more severe tooth decay or disease, even the surrounding/underlying tissue can get infected leading to inflammation, pain and abscess. In order for everything to heal, the tooth needs to be opened and the infected tissue in the centre needs to be cleaned thoroughly.

Once a more healthy environment has been achieved for the root canal, the opened up tooth is then sealed and repaired.

Dental sealants
This relatively new procedure applies a thin coating of plastic on teeth found at the back of the mouth, the premolars and molars. It acts as a protective shield and this treatment is usually given to children as soon as these permanent, back teeth appear to protect them from decay and cavities.

Because of the depressions of the teeth are sometimes more difficult to clean thoroughly, especially at the back, this procedure is helpful in protecting the more vulnerable areas.

Teeth whitening
Darkening teeth colour is an entirely normal phenomenon, however, consumption of certain foods and/or beverages like coffee or tea and even smoking can cause your teeth to lose its white tint.

Teeth whitening exercises must always be carried out by a licenced medical professional, a dental hygienist, and we advise not to use DIY teeth whitening kits as they often can carry risks which can have a permanent consequence.

This sort of cosmetic dental procedure is ever so popular and we have years of experience in delivering brilliant smiles and shining white teeth.

Wisdom tooth removal
Your wisdom teeth, yes you have four of them, are the last ones to appear at the back of your gums. Because they appear when your other teeth have assumed their final position, there are cases when there isn’t enough room for them to develop and grow properly.

When this happens, they emerge in an abnormal angle and they are then referred to as impacted. This doesn’t necessarily mean they need to be extracted, but in some cases, this causes pain and problems so your dental surgeon may recommend to remove them.

Veneers
When your oral care professional binds a very thin layer of porcelain with your chipped tooth, for instance, that's a type of veneer. This form of procedure serves aesthetic purposes primarily.
